Rev. Myrtice Macon, M.D.

Rev. Myrtice E. Macon, M.D., was baptized at the age of 13 at Union Baptist church in Milledgeville, Georgia. Since that time, she has been on the battlefield for the Lord and is not tired yet! She joined Gregg Memorial AME Church November 2004 and since that time has entered the Michigan Conference Board of Examiners and was ordained a Local Elder in 2008 under Bishop John R. Bryant.  

She is a member of the NAACP, American Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Michigan Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Wayne County Medical Society.  She is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist/Pain Specialist and was the Director of Pain Management Services in the Department of Anesthesiology at Beaumont-Grosse Pointe Hospital. She retired from Eskenazi Health after 3 years of leadership as Director of Outpatient Pain Management in June 2018.

Rev. Macon, M.D. is wife to Rev. Charlesfontaine Macon, D. Min. and mother to Joylealia, Ingrid, Candice (Jamie), and Troyfontaine and Grammy to Nathanael Wartian and Isabella Myrtice Williams.  She takes great pride and humbly grateful to serve as First Lady in the ministry and a helpmate to the man God called to currently pastor Allen Chapel AME Church.  Her favorite Scriptures are Isaiah 40:31 and Psalm 121.
